Airbnb in Milford, Ohio

It used to be when my husband and I traveled we would always stay at a half-way point in our trip at a chain hotel.  But what we were finding was that this added almost $300 to our trip!  That's when we discovered Airbnb.

If you're not familiar with Airbnb here's the definition Wikipedia gives...

"Airbnb is an American company which operates an online marketplace and hospitality service for people to lease or rent short-term lodging including holiday cottages, apartments, homestays, hostel beds..."

Since we discovered it we use it for all our travel needs, and we've never had a bad experience.  Plus, we travel with our dogs. It's a huge benefit when you can find accommodations that allow you to bring your furry friends.

Our favorite half-way point stay has been in Milford, Ohio.  We stay at a Victorian home where a couple rents out three guest rooms.  It is lovely.  We have fallen in love with the walkable neighborhood.

Let's take a look at some of the homes here...

In addition to bungalows, there are Victorians, Craftsman's, Cottage's, Greek Revivals, all kinds of architectural styles!

Every lawn and garden is meticulously maintained...

People sit out on their front porches and say hello as you pass by.

Many people take walks and a lot of people with their dogs.

This beautiful house also has a coach house out back, along with gas lights that burn so pretty!

When I took all of my pictures it was an after thought.  I had been walking the dogs about 9:00 at night and the sun was starting to set.

We've stayed at this location in Milford four times now.  The couple that own the house know us well and always welcome us back.  And instead of adding $300 to our trip, each stay here costs us under $50!

So, why not try Airbnb?

We're so glad we did!
