The Rookery Building

Chicago, Illinois 

The Rookery Building was designed by Daniel Burnham and John Root.  It was completed in 1888.  It stands twelve stories tall and is considered to be Chicago's oldest standing highrise.  In 1905 the interior was remodeled by Frank Lloyd Wright.  It had the honor of being designated a Chicago landmark in 1972, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and listed as a National Historic Landmark in 1975.
